Exploring the Hip and the Shoulder

Type:  Sat (Asana/Pranayama / BrahmaFoundation / Middling (Madhya)

Class Description: Although the hip and shoulder are the most mobile joints in in the body, they easily fall prey to difficulties and limitations. This class will work on increasing joint mobility, while at the same time showing how joint stability can be maintained.

Please NoteParticipants should try to hold sirsasana for 5 minutes and be able to hold a steady salamba sarvangasana and be ready to work on the variations Bring any proprs you need: E.g. two blocks of same size. Two belts. Blankets or foam support for shoulderstand. Blanket for headstand and/or for knee support in seated asanas. If menstruating, try to have access to a bolster.
