Standing Poses: Creating a Firm Foundation

Type:  Sat (Asana/Pranayama / BrahmaFoundation / Middling (Madhya)

 Monica Haar

Class Description: A body that moves with ease and steadiness at all times makes asana practice pleasurable; and is also the recipe for contentedness in life. This class will show how standing poses can be used to build such a foundation.

Please NoteParticipants should try to hold sirsasana for 5 minutes and be able to hold a steady salamba sarvangasana and be ready to work on the variations Bring any proprs you need: E.g. two blocks of same size. Two belts. Blankets or foam support for shoulderstand. Blanket for headstand and/or for knee support in seated asanas. If menstruating, try to have access to a bolster.
