Host Volunteer Form

This summer, the Yogacharya Festival and Conference honoring BKS Iyengar will be held in Santa Clara.
The festival will be a gathering of teachers and students from all over the world, celebrating the teachings and knowledge of BKS Iyengar. Concurrent with the festival, there will also be a meeting of Iyengar Yoga teachers from all over the world. These teachers will each represent the country where they live and teach, and together will be working toward the goal of forming an International Iyengar Yoga Association. We are looking for volunteers to house these visiting delegates. Being a volunteer host is an opportunity to share your home with a well-regarded teacher from another country. Delegates will be attending from many countries, including (but not limited to): Denmark, Sweden, France, Italy, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Belgium, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Poland, Israel, and Thailand. Delegates will need accommodations from Monday, July 9th through Friday, July 13th. Some meals will be provided for the delegates at the Conference, but hosts are asked to offer breakfast. In exchange for agreeing to house a delegate, hosts will receive a $100 discount (per each delegate hosted) off their registration for the conference.
