Insight Yoga: Exploring How and Why to Meditate

Class Description:  As we become more at home in our bodies, we discover the need to also take up residence in our own minds. Mindfulness meditation is a practice that helps us tame, train and ultmately free our minds from the habits of conditioned reactivity, leading to a fresh quality of mind called Awareness. Harmonizing the physical/pranic body using a few yoga poses can create a foundation of restive alertness, preparing the ground for meditative insight. We will explore a few long held poses first, while Sarah describes Mindfulness, and then move into a meditation practice after.

Please NoteThere will be some floor poses as well as seated meditation. Please bring your meditation cushion if you have and need one.
