Yoga and Writing

Class Description:  A class for those who practice in both disciplines, using yoga, writing exercises and discussion. We will examine issues common to both practices, explore the ways they support or compete with each other and look at ways yoga can specifically help with your writing and creativity. When you get up from sleep, do you go to your desk or to your mat? Are you a different person among writers and among yoga practitioners? What does writing do to your body and what does yoga do to your mind? How do you know when to vary your practice? How do you know when you are practicing well? How do you balance your commitment to writing and the creative process with your commitment to yoga? When is a balancing pose the right one to do?

Please NoteAlthough the emphasis is on writing, the session will be of value to anyone interested in the creative process
