Maha Sadhana: Master Practice
Type: ● [A] "On the Mat"/Asana ●
INSTRUCTOR:
Dharma Mittra
Class Description: The Divine active ingredients in this amazing session include carefully selected Yoga postures (asanas), breathings (pranayamas), Purification/Cleansings (Kriya) techniques, Meditation (Dhyana) with powerful and efficient methods, and most importantly Yama - without which there is no success in Yoga. This practice is based on the current series Dharma practices with her regular students in weekly classes. His Shiva Namaskar Vinyasa series is a stairway to bliss that reintegrates the continuous flow of prana through the spinal column, and emanates deep into all areas of the physical, metabolic, intuitive and bliss body. The progression of postures flows in a uniquely challenging and meditative manner, using intense, yet non-strenuous exercises that are designed to twist, stretch, manipulate and gain control of the body. They strengthen and tone the muscles, glands and the internal organs. Weight problems and disease are gradually brought to an end. The postures are performed with slow graceful movements, so fantastic feelings of inner calm and self-control are felt immediately. With regular practice, health & stamina are attained & Self-realization can easily follow. This practice includes the King of all the postures, the Headstand. Dharma is a master of helping even those who thought they could never do it, lose their fear and become steadfast Yogis in this practice. Sattva, a state of mind where the notions of 'I' and 'mine', the 'doer', and delusion are all absent, will be shown to all participants through thoughts of renunciation, dispassion, reverence, Self-realization, surrender to the Lord, and love to help you make progress quickly. Personal attention and helpful hints are given throughout the session as well as direction toward the true goal of Yoga.
Please Note: For Intermediate thru Advanced Yogis -- though all are welcome, and may work at your own pace. Dharma will help you according to your abilities and needs.
