Innovation and Resources Management: Yoga for an MBA
Type: Ananda (Particular Interests) / Siva Principles / Mild (Mrdu)
INSTRUCTOR: Ros Bell
Class Description: After I'd been teaching yoga for ten or fifteen years, circumstances led me to develop an interest in management training and education. I carried on teaching yoga, but also started teaching management, and working part-time on the MBA programme of a major business school. My particular interests there are innovation, creativity, teamwork and communication. Some people have been surprised that I teach both yoga and management, seeing them as very different subjects, but I see how much they have in common. They both are concerned with directing energy in a purposeful and harmonious way, exploring the paradoxical balance between control and freedom. In this session, yoga practitioners can find out more about management and creativity; business people can find out how the practice and the principles of yoga fit into the world of management and organizational life..
Please
Note: Anyone is welcome. A large part of this session will be talk and discussion, with some practice (to illustrate points, not to work up a sweat). You don't need any special equipment, and you don t even have to wear your yoga clothes!
