Class Description: As regular students of yoga we become very familiar with a number of the asanas and practice them frequently. They become such 'good friends' that we tend to think that we know all there is to know about them and in particular their physical, mental and spiritual effects. In this class, Joyce reminds us, in a timely fashion, that there are many variations that we may employ and many results we may achieve. Under her expert tutelage, we will practice a number of familiar poses, in a variety of ways: arms closed/extended; legs wide/together; elbows in/out; hands on/off the mat; with/without props and make careful, detailed observations of how our bodies, minds and spirits respond.
