How to Feel and How to 'Read' the Body: A Class to Guide Students and Teachers in the Observation of the Body and its Careful Adjustment in Practise and Teaching

Type:  Chit (Special Teachings & Insights) / VisnuPractice SivaPrinciples/ Middling (Madhya)

INSTRUCTOR:
 Judi Soffa

Class Description: Guruji can tell if someone has disease, pain, even mental problems by the way they stand and move. This class will show how to look at the body and to identify imbalances, sources of pain or discomfort, and offer guidance in their correction. Since the main focus will be on building awareness by feeling and observing our own bodies and looking at others, come prepared to do only very small number of postures.

Please NoteFor people interested in how bodies are aligned, and wanting to deepen their practice in terms of depth of understanding and feeling. A willingness to concentrate (meditation) in the asanas is required and therefore this class is not suitable for beginners or for those wanting a high level of activity. Teachers will find the session useful. Please bring sticky mat, two wooden bricks, 2 belts, and props required for shoulderstand.
