Standing Poses and the Relationship Between Arm Balancings and Backbends

Class Description: Things that affect us throughout our lives are the dynamics of the foundation points of the feet and hands; the initiation of spinal function; and the integration of the pelvic and shoulder girdles. These are facets of experience that need to be "measured" and "educated" in any sequencing leading to backbends. This class will highlight the inner awareness required to do backbends safely.

Please NoteTwo years of regular practice recommended. Students should not enroll if they expect personal tuition; and they need to be prepared to take responsibility for their own participation. If parts of the class are out of the individual's range, alternatives will be gladly given but there will not be much in the way of personalized and individual attention. Please bring blocks and usual yoga equipment
